Dr Hélène Svinos BEng, MSc, MBChB. UK. 'How Essential Oils Can Support Your Physical Health'.

I am delighted to announce that Dr Hélène Svinos BEng, MSc, MBChB is joining us and making time in her hectic schedule to graciously share her skills and knowledge on essential oils. Dr Hélène is from Manchester in England, UK and is an emergency medicine doctor with a passion for animals and is also respectively known as 'The Healthful Doctor'. She has been blessed for the last 3 decades with the most amazing animal -based teachers who have taught her to look outside the box of conventional health and find what was natural that could help when she was out of options with the medicine she was taught and was more familiar. In the pathway to good health for her pets she found her own too. She has come to appreciate the value of natural solutions and believes that 'the more we can do that is both good for the earth and good for our bodies, the better!'.

Dr Hélène is a dog mum to 6 (3 of whom have a disability) as well as a cat and a bunny.

When her dog Toffee broke her back and became paraplegic a quest began to find out how she could optimise her health and well-being and see if there was more than conventional medicine alone. Toffee recovered well and Dr Hélène developed a new love of integrative medicine and championing those with disabilities.

Rehabilitating her reactive dog Treacle led Dr Hélène to work as a dog trainer throughout medical school as well as teaching and competing in a variety of dog sports. The much loved and missed Treacle and Toffee taught her a broad understanding of both the emotional and physical needs of our canine pals. After fostering and later adopting a blind dog called Inka, the discovery of using essential oils to help her fear led Dr Hélène to develop this interest further and connect with Dr Roark, a veterinarian and the proud owner of Hill Country Mobile Veterinary Service in Austin, Texas. and the rest as they say is history.

Dr Hélène is also qualified in Canine Massage Therapy as well as a Canicross Instructor and came 3rd in the XF category in the CaniX 2019/2020 season with her springers Evie, Rowan and Seren and has won the Female Canicross category in the challenging Paras 10 race 3 times. With scentwork training under her belt and Evie who also tracks missing dogs a lot of Helene’s life is taken up with the amazing world of aroma. Helene also has a BEng Aerospace Engineering and an MSc in Impact and Explosion Engineering.

Dr Hélène is a passionate advocate for bridging the gap between natural and conventional medicine and exploring multiple ways to use essential oils and would love to teach you more about how to use one of her favourite natural solutions, essential oils, to feel better and live well.

She will be doing this in her presentation, entitled: 'How Essential Oils can Support your Physical Health'.

This talk will look at what essential oils are and how to use them safely and effectively.

Essential oils are often viewed as just helpful for calmness and sleep but Dr Helene will look at how they can help our physical bodies.

The focus will be on inflammatory processes in our body and how essential oils can provide benefits in a myriad of different ways.

Dr Hélène offers remote appointments via Zoom, Phone, and Email. She is available for bookings in different time zones. In-person consultations are available to clients living in the Manchester UK area or at select cani-cross events. Contact her today to request a consultation.
